California at San Diego (UCSD) in 1997.
In 1994 summer, he was with Kopin Cooperation,
(compound semiconductor assets acquired by IQE in 2013) Tauton, MA, to set up
a quick-lot process for evaluating the AlGaAs/GaAs HBT wafers. In 1997, he
joined Anadigics Inc. Warren, NJ,
(II-VI Inc. acquired Anadigics in 2016) where he was involved in developing
of MESFETs and pHEMTs for wireless and optical fiber communications.
In 1998, he joined the National Central University (NCU), Jhong-Li in
Electrical Engineering. From 2004 to 2005, he was a Visiting Associate
Professor at Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC),
working with Prof. Milton Feng. From 2015 to 2016, he was a visiting
Professor at UCLA, working with Prof. Frank Chang. From 2019 to 2022, he was
the Director of the Optical Science Center at NCU. He is currently the
overseas editor of Applied Physics Express (APEX) and the Japanese Journal of
Applied Physics (JJAP).
Now
he is a Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering Department and
Director of Optical Science Center at NCU.
His
research interests include the development of devices and circuits based on
heterostructure and wide bandgap semiconductors.
